Thursday Morning Weaving Classes

$455.00

Early Spring Semester 2025
9:30am - 12:30pm
March 13 - May 1 (7 Sessions)
*No Class April 17

Led by Instructor Danburg
Weaving is the alchemy of engineering & art- the freedom to create while held in the safety of a purposeful structure. Once the structure is set in place, weaving becomes a rhythmic, tactile meditation of pattern, color, and materials.

Over the course of 7 weeks, students will learn the fundamental techniques of weaving and work on various loom types. New weaving students will weave a small bag, secured with a button. Students can use it to hold their weaving supplies. Once their first project is complete, students will learn how to weave a scarf, belt, tapestry, tea towel, rag rug, or yoga strap! The class is great for all levels- from the total beginner to one with more advanced skills. However, as students gain more experience they can take on more complex projects.

In preparation for the class, please collect and bring any of the following materials to weave with: ribbons, recyclables, fabric scraps, twine, and other interesting natural and found materials.
