Over your first semester, you will learn the fundamentals of woodworking and how to safely use tools such as a saw, chisel, gouge, scraper, and hand plane. Students will often start with carving a spoon, and a box for keepsakes. Once each student has successfully learned how to safely and properly work with hand tools and equipment they can take on more complex projects.
